About Me

Mobirise

Hey, I'm Austin! I just graduated from Montana State University on May 1, 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace. I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. I have always been passionate about engineering and been blessed with a creative and inventive mind! I especially enjoy the design process and 3D modeling, and have gotten into additive manufacturing as a means to bring my 3D modeling skills into existence. Furthermore, I have been focusing my studies on courses related to mechanical design, mechanical analysis, and manufacturing. Prevalent courses I have taken include Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computer Assisted Design--SolidWorks (CAD), Design for Manufacturing/Tooling, CNC and CAM Technology, and Manufacturing of Composites.

In my free-time, I love being outdoors! I'm an avid hiker and backpacker, and there is nothing better than finding a nice beautiful hidden spot to camp! I am also huge into peak-bagging, so far I have climbed 20 of Colorado's 58 14ers, and sampled quite a few of the gorgeous mountains that Montana has to offer! My passion for the outdoors has pushed me to create the Outdoor Club at Montana State, a club where my goal is to provide a place for people to make connections and have the ability to get outside in a safe manner, and learn how to conserve the outdoors so we can enjoy it for years to come!

When I'm not outside, I enjoy cooking, whether it be exploring new dishes or whipping up some of my signature meals. I also have been brewing kombucha for the past two years. My passion for engineering also permeates into my hobbies, as I enjoy working on projects and designing gear and things that make my life easier! I like sewing, woodworking, 3D printing, and building RC cars. I am a lifelong member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, where during my undergraduate years I served as the Guard to uphold our chapter's exemplary standards, and as the Phi Coordinator to teach my brothers in the Phi Challenge about improving their lives as Balanced Men, primarily through professional development.
